What is Sedex audit?

SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) is a non-profit organization which has as a strong market presence in the UK. It is a web based program designed to improve the supply chain performance. It stores data on responsible business practices and enables the sharing of information with multiple brands.

The Sedex audit is a 6 steps process as follow

  • Opening meeting
  • Review of documents, management interview, and factory tour
  • Management and Employee interview
  • Document Review
  • Pre-closing meeting
  • Closing meeting and summarize of findings (report any Non-compliance, observations & good examples found during audit)

What do we offer with Sedex audit?

We will enable proper communication between all parties during the audit process. It will allow the smooth carry out of the audit mechanism in the factory. The standard of the audit is based on local laws & regulations and we help smooth implementation of these regulations.

The auditing is based on ETI codes with the implementation of ILO (International Labour Organization) practices. The basic 2-Pillars of a SMETA audit are governed by the standards contained in the ETI Base Code. The extended 4- pillars of Environment and Business Ethics are governed by standards arrived at by a process of membership and multi-stakeholder consultation.
