Australia: Permanent ban on lead in Toys / DEG on toothpaste

The Australian Minister for Competition Policy and Consumer Affairs has of late issued two noticed which permanently ban toys with unsafe levels of lead and unsafe levels of diethylene glycol (DEG) in toothpaste. 

For toys which have accessible materials with lead migration level larger than 90mg/kg of lead are banned (AN/NZS ISO 8124.3:2003 Safety of Toys, Part 3: Migration of Certain Elements); while for toothpaste which contains more than 0.25% by weight of DEG are banned.
