Under the new proposal proposed by The Commission of the European Communities, the number of hazardous substances restricted would be expanded, while the scope of electrical and electronic products covered in the regulations would also be broadened. The Commission also proposed adding CE marking and to set higher targets for collection and recycling of electronic waste.
