
The European Commission has revised the Risk Assessment Guidelines for Non-Food Consumer Products and released the draft for public consultation. The guidelines concerns about the product, consumers, product hazard, potential injury scenarios and the probability of the injury.
Manufacturers and suppliers must supply safe products under the General Product Safety Directive. A safe product refers to any product that under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use delivers no risk, or only the minimum risk compatible with the use of product, and which is corresponding to a high level of protection for consumer.
