
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Aloha Housewares today together announced a voluntary recall of about 152,000 unites of portable electric heaters manufactured in China. The products were found to have the possibility of overheating, which could melt the plastic parts of the products and pose a fire hazard to users. The company has received 29 reports of heaters melting, smoking or catching fires, in which 18 of them resulted at property damage and 1 of them led to minor injury. Consumers were highly recommended to stop using the recalled products and contact Aloha Housewares for replacement.
